Websites I have created

These are a selection of the websites that I have designed and built.

Fitling Garth Holiday Cottages

The website has been established to promote the holiday rental business of the client.
Users can view images of the cottages and grounds, check availability and use a booking form to make a reservation. The form uses jQuery Validation on the client side and PHP server side.
The website also incorporates the now ubiquitous accordion effect and an interactive Google map.
The designs of the site have been enhanced by CSS3. A strict doctype was used and all pages validate.

Stoneferry Primary School

The school server doesn't support PHP so I coded the site solely in XHTML and CSS with a smidgen of JavaScript thrown in for good measure.
The school required an online presence which would be stylish and functional and I think the design represents that.

Caz Cards

Cazcards was my first e-commerce website and retails original handmade greeting cards.
It uses a shopping cart operated by Paypal, and customers can pay securely online by credit card.
I used Lightbox JS to display the full size images of the greeting cards, which has received positive feedback from customers of the site. There is a two tier level of protection on the contact form enabled by JavaScript and PHP.

Shelley College

I began working at Shelley College in Huddersfield as their web designer in 2003.
The website was built using ye olde tables and some css duct tape! ; )
It was my first foray into Flash, which the pupils enjoyed.
This website is not online as I no longer work for the College.

Kirkburton Middle School

I was commissioned to create the website of Kirkburton Middle after working at the school through my liaising role at Shelley College.
I was free to design the site as I wanted, the only proviso being that the site looked professional and was user friendly.
The feedback I received was very positive.
As of 2009 the school now has its own web designer and ergo this website is no longer live.

Argent Automotive

The website was created for a company on a low budget that required the site to be simple and clean.
The company sold classic and new car parts and used a backend MySql database to display queries by the user.
The company has since ceased trading.

APC Webservies

This was the first commercial website that I created.
I had started to understand CSS and felt confident enough to incorporate it into the site. Looking at the code now I can see it is slightly primitive.
The website is no longer live.
